y’all so last night my housemate, who is also my landlords son, got really drunk and trashed the whole house. he threatened his girlfriend, called her the n-word, threatened to throw acid on her, physically attacked his dad when he came over to calm the situation and ended up breaking the front door. i need to move out of this house by sunday (july 29th) i have found the perfect apartment, sharing with two girls my age, 25 min cycle from my workplace AND within my poor ass budget. i just need to cover some of my moving costs cos my landlord is doing everything she can to delay the return of my £900 deposit to stop me from moving out. she’s trying to claim that blue tack marks on the wall will cost her £200 to fix and other weird bizarro shit.
i really have to get out of here cos her son is 200% crazy and they won’t evict him and i am scared for my safety in the house. we called the police last night and they transferred me to the non-urgent police number which kept me on hold for 53 mins and then disconnected. i literally got 2 hours of sleep last night before going to work for an 11 hour shift cos he was smashing things, fighting the neighbours and yelling all night. i also have a huge interview for the salaried teacher training programme i was super excited about this friday which i should be prepping for but haven’t been able to cos there hasn’t been a moment of peace in the house. this is the same house where we’ve had mice running around cos the landlord won’t fix the basement, and roaches cos all the pipes are leaking and gross.
if any of u wanna help me get out of here it would really be amazing. im set for rent cos i took extra hours so my next paycheck will cover it, this would just help me scrape together a deposit for the new flat and rent a car to move my things by sunday. i’m sorry i hav 2 ask for this but im broke and my landlord is screwing me.
