The second episode of a two-part CBC series on the impact of slavery in modern Canadian society has been posted, it’s worth checking out. Some of the research cited found that to this day, “black women are likelier than whites to be unemployed, despite
having higher levels of education” and that black people are being “subjected to a heightened surveillance on the basis of [their] race.”
