yall. cmon. use ur fucking head, no it isnt.

pornhub is an asp’s nest of transmisoginy, pro-rape culture bullshit, and the users of that site actively steal content and nobody does anything about it. there are people who do use ph’s like custom pay per view situation or whatever who regularly get their shit ripped off and reuploaded/redistributed and nobody cares. the site steals from camgirls and sex workers.

if that isn’t reason enough to avoid it, they straight up still fucking use pop-up advertising in the year of our lord 2018. even if you have adblocker, pop-ups still happen. it’s also filled with viruses! like, shit that could literally fuck up your computer!!!!

please use ur fuckin brains, pornhub is NOT the safe haven yall are looking for. like, i’m not gonna argue w people who will boldly go even after being warned, like whatever man venture at ur own risk or whatever, but like. COMMON SENSE DICTATES THAT A WEBSITE WITH A “TEEN PORN” AND AN “INCEST PORN” CATEGORY PROBABLY IS NOT THE FUCKIN PLACE YOU WANT TO BE SHOWING OFF UR SHIT LOL

and ive seen ppl be like “well pornhub cares abt ppl they did sex safety videos!!” buddy theyre a fucking company, one good will gesture does not represent the company’s morality or its willing to do right by people in general. pornhub is like chaotic neutral at best.

please be smart abt where you go!!!

Outcry over teen’s underwear in rape trial

anti-capitalistlesbianwitch:

A series of protests over sexual consent have been taking place in Ireland, a week after a man was acquitted of raping a 17-year-old.

In the trial, the defence lawyer told the jury: “You have to look at the way she was dressed. She was wearing a thong with a lace front.”

The 27-year-old man was found not guilty of rape shortly afterwards.

The controversy led one Irish MP to hold up a lace thong in parliament to highlight “routine victim-blaming”.

Ruth Coppinger produced the blue lacy underwear in the Dáil (Irish parliament) from her sleeve on Tuesday.

“It might seem embarrassing to show a pair of thongs here… how do you think a rape victim or a woman feels at the incongruous setting of her underwear being shown in a court?”

… The day after publication of that court report, the head of Dublin’s Rape Crisis Centre criticised the barrister’s remarks.

Although she did not question the verdict, she called for reform of a legal system in which she said such suggestions were frequently made.Amid increasing media attention, Irish social media users expressed outrage at the remarks in court.

Under the hashtag #ThisIsNotConsent, Irish women posted photographs of their underwear in all shapes, colours, and materials to protest the use of such techniques in court.

You reblogged a man saying “prick a terf and a fascist bleeds” and you’ve called women terfs before, how is comparing feminists to fascists even remotely okay?

Actually the person I quoted is trans and identifies as they or she/her. They were saying and gave extensive evidence and direct quotes that a lot of TERF’s were actually using material posted by a fascist to further their anti-trans agenda. So yeah these feminists may not be fascists but they are using fascist propaganda, which is almost as bad.

There’s no point arguing with TERF’s when they just make up crap like this.

Hello, hi, yes, I’m a feminist and cis, and here goes: if you prick a TERF a fascist bleeds.

Is this acceptable for you anon???

I saw some posts a while back proposing a solution to this seeming conflict of ‘comparing feminists to fascists’.

We shouldn’t be calling them TERFs.  We shouldn’t be validating their supposed feminism even to that degree, because they aren’t actually feminists.

They are Feminist-Appropriating Reactionary Transphobes.  Which comes with the convenient acronym of FART.

The problem is, they are actually feminists. Feminism has a very, very long and troubled history when it comes to The Trans Question ™. You can easily trace a direct line of heritage from early lesbian feminist activism to modern TERFs. I can show you very prominent feminists, historically and today, who have said some positively vile shit about trans women.

And as a trans woman and the one who caused this entire round of TERF bullshit, I for one would far rather see feminists acknowledging and owning that history and working to correct it than trying to sidestep the issue by playing No True Scotsman.

This. We don’t validate their feminism when we describe them as TERFs because we’re already talking to people who grew up thinking of themselves as feminists and don’t see themselves as needing validation for that identity. All we do by denying where they came from and what they are is pretend that feminism doesn’t have it’s own history of abuses.

To actually confront them? We confront the fact that feminism has always had problems like this. We accept that the journey to a truly intersectional and diverse feminism has unearthed some mighty bigoted people on our side of the fence and that we need to weed our own garden while we make it grow.

Call a TERF a TERF. Make sure that people know that to a TERF, their need to attack trans women is stronger than their need to fight for women’s liberation. Make sure that people know that you can watch as TERFs happily team up with misogynistic bigots as long as they find common ground in hating trans people. Make sure people know that fascism is where TERFs are heading, because it’s the end state for their kind of aggressively inhumane authoritarianism.

Prick a TERF, a fascist bleeds.

I wanna tell you guys a story,

Not too long ago, my friend Bella came out as aromantic to me, and now I’ve got some things to say.

I was the one who told her what aromantic means, because I was explaining different sexual orientations to her. I remember saying, “Asexualiy is when you have romantic attraction, but no sexual attraction.”

Bella immedently, without missing a beat, asked, “Is there an opposite to that?”

I asked what she meant, and she asked if there was a term for sexual attraction but no romantic attraction. I told her about aromantics. She got weirdly quiet, then excused herself.

Not two weeks later I was heading to my boat. I was supposed to meet Bella and another one of our muteral friends there for a day of fishing.

As soon as I was in earshot, I saw Bella storming off the boat, and our other friend standing there like an idiot. Boi had no idea what was happening.

Anyway, Bella isn’t looking where she’s going and walks smack dab into me. That’s when I realized she was crying. Puffy red eyes, wet cheeks, the whole nine yards… And if you know anything about Bells, she does not cry. Ever.

She’s been through some serious crap in her life, and she does not cry. She’s tough as nails. Bella has a steel core. She does not not cry. I’ve seen her fall off a roof and break her arm before, not a single tear. I can’t stress this enough, Bella. Doesn’t. Cry.

So seeing her in tears shook me. I took her by the shoulders and escorted her somewhere more private where we could talk. We ended up in the women’s restroom, which was weird as fuck for me, because haven’t been in a woman’s rest room for years. Luckily it was empty, and I’m realistic, I know I don’t pass so well, so I don’t think anyone would have said anything anyway.

Before I can even ask her what’s wrong she hugs me around my middle and burys her face in my hoodie. Then, in a voice I can only describe as traumatized, she says, “I think I’m broken.”

I’ve never seen her in so much pain, and Bella and I are CLOSE. She’s one of my dearest friends. She’s like my little sister, but if she’s like my sister, our other muteral friend is like her twin. He and Bella have know each other WAY longer, they’re practically inseparable. They come as a pair. They’re a duo. They’re a package deal.

Appearently, said muteral friend asked Bella out and forcefully kissed her. She shoved him off, and told him she’s aromantic, which she only recently figured out. She wasn’t ready to be out, but this muteral friend left her no choice. She tried telling him no, and he didn’t listen. Bella saw no other option.

Quote on quote, this is what he said to Bella. “That’s okay. You just haven’t dated me yet. We’ve been like, unofficially together for years. You’re probably just freaked out that it’s finally going somewhere.”

After that I’m not 100% clear on what happened, but apparently Bella kept saying no Nd trying to explain herself, but he kept insisting he could ‘fix her.’

Eventudally she started crying and stormed away. That’s when I found her.

Keep in mind, this was her first experience coming out, and her best, closest friend insisted he could fix her and forcefully kissed her. I found out later he also implied corrective rape would ‘solve the problem.’

Bella was traumatized. She’s still traumatized. I tried to make her feel better by buying her an aro pride shirt, and taking her go a local LGBTQ+ hang out. I wanted her to be around like minded people, so she could see she wasn’t broken, and her identity deserved to be respected.

Instead of a warm, welcoming environment… The first thing someone said to her was, “This place is for REAL lgbt people. You don’t belong here.” He also implied she wasn’t human.

Just think about that for a minute. Her first experiences with being an out aromantic have been limited to;

  1. A person she trusted more than anyone forcing himself upon her, claiming she was ill, and needed to be fixed. (Raped.)
  2. Sobbing in my arms in the women’s restroom because she thought she was broken and defective.
  3. Being told she wasn’t welcomed in LGBTQ+ spaces and called inhuman.

This isn’t what I want for her. Bella deserves better than this. She needs a support system, not all this crap. I’ve spent the past week trying to undo all the damage exclusionists, arophobes, and people she trusted did.

Aromantics and asexuals belong in the LGBTQ+ community. You literally cannot change my mind.

Did I already queue this? Dunno. But let me say that I’ve never stood by while gatekeepers try to well, gatekeep.

I didn’t put up with it as a teenager really into sci-fi, I didn’t put up with it from the dude bros in game and comic shops, and I certainly won’t stand for it in my LGBT+ community.

Aces and aros are welcome in my community.

So fun fact: A career goal of mine is to make self defense jewelry like this ring here.

I designed this, and had it made specifically for me, to protect myself while maintaining my aesthetic. I was in a physically abusive relationship in my early 20’s and then when I escaped that, I had a stalker in college who was a serial rapist that had avoided being caught. Instead of worrying about my education, instead of worrying about my finals, I was worried about my life.

I got tired of being scared. I got tired of waiting for my impeding doom, I grew tired of the police telling me that my stalker could legally follow me wherever I went so long as he didn’t physically harm me.

I got tired of men wishing to harm me.

So, I did something about.

Carrying pepper spray wasn’t enough. Ya girl likes big purses and I would never find my pepper spray in time to defend myself in an emergency. So, I thought “if I had a ring that also worked as a weapon- I’d feel more in control.”

So, that’s what the fuck I did. I made a 100% steel metal ring that can be sharpened, resharpened, and sharpened again using a steel blade.

I’m happy to report that my stalker was eventually caught and sent to prison.

Anyway, my career goal is to make serious self defense jewelry. I think women would feel really empowered. I live downtown and I walk by myself to get to where I need to go, and I imagine there’s a lot of women like me out there that just want to get home safely, while looking fly and protected.

I’m going to make a gofundme or indiegogo soon in the hopes that many of you could help me achieve this goal.

I WOULD CONTRIBUTE NO JOKE

not to be controversial but the reason they wont pass a law saying that people with a history of domestic violence arent legally allowed to purchase a gun is bc half of the police force would no longer be legally allowed to hold their jobs.

this ain’t tea this is hennessy

based on reporting, 10% of families in the general population endure domestic violence.

in contrast, 40% of police officer families endure domestic violence. again, this is based on reporting, so the number is likely HIGHER.

escaping abusive partners in law enforcement is made particularly difficult for these victims, because police officers

  • are armed
  • know the otherwise confidential locations of domestic abuse shelters
  • are able to game the system in order to avoid punishment
  • are often friends with the very officers who would be called to assist in a domestic situation
  • and can sometimes redirect blame onto the victims—one of my coworkers knows someone whose spouse was a cop who got her arrested for kidnapping when she fled with her children.

Same reason they don’t treat rape like a real crime – if they did, half the cops, male lawyers and male judges would be forced to think of their own fraternity hijinks as crimes and they can’t have that.

OK Highway Patrol Captain George Brown says the best “tip” for women to not get raped by a cop is to “follow the law in the first place so you don’t get pulled over.”
http://youtu.be/BO8g8akPWcY (Last third of the video).

Three serial rapists in 3 weeks arrested in Oklahoma, all cops.

Follow for Anarchy | Follow for Feminism

Pro tip: if you’re signaled to pull over (whether you’re male or female) and you’re in a place that has no witnesses, turn your hazard lights on to acknowledge the officer’s siren, and drive to the nearest gas station or populated area. This is accepted protocol by every agency. You are not obligated pull over until you can do so safely. This includes personal safety. Understand your rights, brothers and sisters. There are disgusting examples of authority in this world.

HAZARD LIGHTS ARE NOT AN ACCEPTABLE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT. IT IS NOT ACCEPTED PROTOCOL BY EVERY AGENCY. DO NOT JUST CONTINUE DRIVING WITH YOUR HAZARD LIGHTS IN CASE THE COP MIGHT THINK IT’S A LOW-SPEED CHASE.

I know that sounds dumb, but hear me out. My mother is a dispatcher for the local police station. I asked her about how to pull over for a cop and even brought up the use of hazard lights, and she told me that it is not always accepted. This is what she told me you can do in order to feel safe when pulling over:

Call the police. No, really. Call and tell the dispatcher where you are and that there is a cop behind you demanding you pull over. The dispatcher can and will stay on the line with you while they look up the area you’re in to see if it’s one of their station’s cops. Then, once the cop comes to your window, you can crack it open (it only has to be an inch!) while still on the phone with the dispatcher. This is definitely, 100% accepted protocol.

The dispatcher will verify that it is their own, real cop, and they will gladly stay on the line with you throughout your interaction with the officer. And God forbid this ever happens to any of you, but if something were to happen to you during this time, you’ve already contacted 911 and given your location to the dispatcher.

Please keep this in mind if you are ever requested to pull over and do not feel safe. The dispatcher will understand. Do not, however, continue to drive, because there might be the off-chance an officer will think you’re flat-out refusing to pull over (a well-lit, populated area might be a ways away).

Stay safe.

Signal boost.

Because I personally know some creepy ass mother fuckers who became cops because they’re demented psychopaths and they get off on having control over people.

In light of current bullshit, this might be a good idea for a LOT of people, not just women. Marginalized minorities of all stripes, take note. I hate taking up an emergency dispatcher’s resources, but i also hate seeing yet another fucked up news story about police harming citizens.

David Kato the First Out Ugandan Gay Man

(TW: Mention of corrective rape)

In this article we are going to discuss David Kato; described as Uganda’s first openly gay man and the father of the queer movement in Uganda. While David Kato is not a well known name in the North American queer community, he is, and was, renowned in the queer community of Uganda. He was also well known in international politics even though it was incredibly dangerous for him to even be on the radar in his own country, as same sex relationships are illegal in Uganda. His life was made even more dangerous because the citizens of Uganda have a tendency of attempting to enforce the laws against homosexuality with their own cruel methods. And that is what eventually led to Kato’s death, and that is what we are going to explore.

Seriously though. If you did a forty year background check on me, you’d find lots of immaturity and stupidity, but you wouldn’t find any sexual assaults or attempted rapes because I’m a decent fucking human being.
