tumblr sucked yet its the only thing people like us could ever have posted on. tumblr was a deep sea geothermal vent and we are all pallid, desperate crabs snapping at the dark toxcic nutrients spweing from its hole, and bringing us into the harsh light of the instagram influencersphere would kill us instantly.
Is it just me or does Nova Scotia as a province seem to produce a disproportionate amount of ‘WTF is going on’ stories/news compared to its population.
Like my Nova Scotia tag probably has more posts in it than all the other atlantic provinces combined.
Like every few days there’s something weird or messed up going on in Nova Scotia.
It only has about 900,000 people.

We’ve always got weird shit going on. Come check out our giant sinkhole that is currently threatening to swallow a town. Come hop on a zodiac raft and ride 4-foot-high tidal waves that flow backwards up our rivers twice daily. Come grow an 1,100lb pumpkin, hollow it out, optionally strap an outboard motor on it, hop in and race other pumpkins across a lake. Come to Dagger Woods and see if you can hear the screams of the Hidey-Hinder, our local cryptid. Visit the Drowned Forest, the Everlasting Barrens, the Garden of Eden, or the Hellgate – all completely real places. Come visit one of our two completely different and separate museums on opposite ends of the province dedicated to the Tuna Fish.

A major route out of the biggest city in the entire Maritimes was brought to a fucking crawl
remember, bathhouses and gay bars were closed in the name of children who might be lured within, who might see ‘obscenity’ in the public spaces near them. The act of bringing up the Child has historically been a method of disappearing societal undesirables like this is both hypersecurity logics (like Ive mentioned before, the idea of all Public Space as the sorta capitalist social authoritarianism of The Mall/Disney Land) combined w the sort of ideologies that fuel geographic gentrification. People should be more internally critical of these impulses, I believe

While we do not judge anyone for their desire to post, engage with, or view this stuff, it is time for us to change our relationship with it.

When does the new policy take effect?
Our new Community Guidelines will go into effect on December 17, 2018.
Newly uploaded content flagged as adult will no longer be allowed on Tumblr. We’ll also begin flagging and removing existing adult content with the ultimate goal of removing as much of it as we can.
What is considered adult content?
Adult content primarily includes photos, videos, or GIFs that show real-life human genitals or female-presenting nipples, and any content—including photos, videos, GIFs and illustrations—that depicts sex acts.
What is still permitted?
Examples of exceptions that are still permitted are exposed female-presenting nipples in connection with breastfeeding, birth or after-birth moments, and health-related situations, such as post-mastectomy or gender confirmation surgery. Written content such as erotica, nudity related to political or newsworthy speech, and nudity found in art, such as sculptures and illustrations, are also stuff that can be freely posted on Tumblr.
something that rly creeps me out…..occasionally ill see videos or articles for christians or christian missionaries that say something like “what you need to do is make friends with non christians and really get them to trust you and THEN you start preaching to them and bringing them to jesus” and that is….man how much would it hurt to know that the only reason someone’s hanging out with you is to convert you to a religion you were never interested in. maybe this is a real friend, someone you really really feel like you connect to, and all of a sudden you cant hang out with them without being scared they’ll bring out the jesus stuff.
