Hi my name is Lotus and I’m a 23-year-old black/filipino trans woman who’s trying her best to get an education in the arts.
i’m facing financial hardships because my job pays me fucking dust and I have to spend so much money on healthcare it’s not even funny. Every week I spend 40 dollars on therapy and at the moment I owe 130 dollars to my therapist’s office. I also have to pay to get a proper ADHD evaluation, to see my psychiatrist for my medication, and transportation to and from all of these appointments. Not to mention the costs of medically transitioning, which I can only assume will become even more difficult given our current political climate. I’m currently looking for other work and trying to see what kind of govt assistance I can get for my disability. On top of going to school it’s such a pain to have to make time for all of this and make payments on time as well, let alone perform basic self-care like feeding myself. I could really use the support right now.
There are so many of you following this blog that If I got just a dollar from each of you I’d be set for months. So please please consider helping me out. If you can give big, great. Force acquaintances and relatives who prop these people up to look at this, make them explain it to you. Demand they tell you why they’re okay with it so they have to say it out loud. Make them uncomfortable. Make them see it. Make them answer.
