i threw a bunch of vines into a shakespearean translator and they’re all great great but this one is definitely my favorite:

“Love looks with the heart, not with the mind, and therefore, Cupid is blind wench. I ain’t nev’r gonna cease loving thee… wench”

if your female character doesn’t look like she has lived the life she leads and you can’t get a sense for her actual personality by looking at her because you’re too focused on making her pretty and perfect and palatable it’s bad character design and you should feel bad

had a nightmare they continued the big bang theory without jim parsons by having Sheldon invent a machine that turned him back into the kid from Young Sheldon but it turned into a horror serial where he was hunting down the rest of the cast trying to get them to go in the machine too but none of them wanted to be kids again but he kept outsmarting them when they hid until the climax where Leonard pushed him into the machine and he turned back into a baby who they gave to an orphanage and they were like “it’s finally over….. we’re free” but then they got back to the apartment and Baby Sheldon was sat on the couch and he said bazinga and shot them

It’s World Mental Health Day! (October 10th.) So I thought it might be useful to compile mental health resources for the Jewish community into one post. If you know of any that aren’t listed, please feel free to add them.

RELIEF – connects/refers Jewish people to therapists and other
mental health resources (focuses mainly on the frum community)

Elijah’s Journey – suicide prevention for the Jewish community (Facebook page)

The Aleph Institute
– provides spiritual support for Jews in
institutional environments such as prison, health facilities, and
rehab

No Shame On U
– aims to de-stigmatize mental illness by providing
comprehensive education

OHEL
– comprehensive services for those facing mental health issues, with professionals fluent in English, Yiddish, and Hebrew

Yad Rachel – for mothers facing postpartum depression, also helps educate family and health providers

Shema Koli – support for victims of abuse

Frum Support Forums – for mental and physical health

(NY) The Jewish Board – provides services for a number of things, including crisis support, supportive housing, and mental health services.

Torah and the Twelve Steps – spiritual-based rehab for those recovering from substance abuse

(UK) Jewish Helpline –

0800 652 9249

(Mexico) Jewish Crisis Line –

1118

(The two following aren’t specifically mental health resources, but I still felt they were important to add.)

A list of Jewish LGBT+ organizations

Keshet – Jewish LGBT+ educational resources

Many cities also have Jewish Family Services, which will often be able to refer you to a therapist or other local resources.

my favorite thing about spider gwen is telling people what spider gwen is. like literally every time its like

me: ok so imagine gwen stacy didnt die and she got bitten by the spider instead of peter parker

them: yeah ok

me: she’s in a punk band with mary jane and she chills venom out with their music also daredevil is evil in this one

them: wtf that owns

everything about spider gwen is just objectively tight as hell

Those pink flats really tie the whole aesthetic together
