What are the top mlm books you’ve ever read?

lgbtqreads:

So, to be honest, because I used to read like two a week for work for well over a year (I was a copy editor for Dreamspinner), approximately none of them stuck in my head, and then I took a long break from reading them, except when I was assigned them as a copy editor for Ellora’s Cave. So I don’t really read them anymore outside of YA. (Although I did read next year’s Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston, and I loved it.) There are a few exceptions – I do like NA, and my favorites there are Coffee Boy by Austin Chant, Off Campus by Amy Jo Cousins and Trust the Focus by Megan Erickson.

In YA, I’m a huge fan of Adam Silvera, Caleb Roehrig, and Shaun David Hutchinson, and I finally read Alex London with Black Wings Beating and thought it was great. I’d say my top faves are probably, in no particular order (although the top 5 listed are probably by top 5 overall):

  • Last Seen Leaving by Caleb Roehrig
  • History is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera
  • Jack of Hearts (and other parts) by L.C. Rosen
  • Autoboyography by Christina Lauren
  • How to Repair a Mechanical Heart by JC Lillis

  • At the Edge of the Universe by Shaun David Hutchinson
  • The Love Interest by Cale Dietrich
  • This is Kind of an Epic Love Story by Kheryn Callender
  • Openly Straight by Bill Konigsberg
  • The Art of Starving by Sam J. Miller
  • I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson
  • Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli
  • Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz
  • Picture Us in the Light by Kelly Loy Gilbert
  • Highly Illogical Behavior by John Corey Whaley
  • Black Wings Beating by Alex London
  • Timekeeper by Tara Sim

ETA: *runs up panting and waving a copy of The Wicker King by K. Ancrum in the air* I can’t believe I forgot to mention this one but it is so special and I’m so mad that no one has asked me for a Raven Boys comp since I read it because it is absolutely the Raven Boys comp you are looking for.

This is Peter Darling erasure
