So idk if anyone else has heard but the federal govt has added a new question to the census. It asks whether the person is a legal resident. It is optional to answer, but many people won’t know that and will avoid being counted for the census for this. The kicker is that California, one of the most powerful and biggest blue states has a very high undocumented population. Not only that, but it has a very high population of traditionally hard to count residents, such as homeless people and renters, both of whom are often POC. Here’s the thing, if they succeed at skewing the census count, California will lose a seat in the House, and it will go to a red state. This is extremely close to happening. Please spread this information around and make sure people show up to be counted for the census. They keep trying their fuckery. Don’t let them get away with it.
