sex workers please reblog (and non sex workers who have sex worker followers)

alienfucker69420:

there’s a new site called bustedescorts.com that grabs information from backpage and falsely claims the phone numbers they grabbed are associated with law enforcement. my work number is on there as someone working with law enforcement to bust clients, but the only interaction i’ve had with cops my whole life is calling 911 for non-work related medical emergencies.

the site is obviously fake, because nearly every entry is identical save a few words being switched for similar words. also, on every page it’s like “click this link to get sex without being busted!” and the link takes you to a scam site. however, we all know clients get paranoid and no call no show for less.

i saw a guy today who said he found me on the site. he booked me anyway because he’d booked me before and figured it was fake, but he also said he would not have seen me if it was his first time contacting me and he saw me on that website.

what you should do:
– google your number to see if it shows up on sites like this
– if it does, change it. sideline is a free app that can give you a new number
– remove your number from your ads. put your number on your photos instead as a text overlay. i don’t think it’s real people pulling the numbers from ads, probably a program, and i doubt the program can read images

you can file a dmca takedown through the site but i have no idea if that even works. i tried and haven’t heard back.
