“Netflix keeping the black hero train rolling by bringing back Blade. One of the first major and serious black superhero movies, Blade (Wesley Snipes) is a half vampire, half human antihero who keeps the streets safe from vampires. The original Blade still holds up today as a great, dark superhero movie, most of the effects are practical and visceral, the story is good, and you take Blade very seriously. Blade II, while not as good as the original, is still a good movie to sit down and watch on a night in. These 2 paired with Black Dynamite and Black Panther make for a great black power binging night.”
