Homeless mother needs your help!

Wind just moved to Colorado from Alabama after leaving her boyfriend. Her and her 6-year-old son were originally staying with a family member, but that quickly turned dangerous and abusive. They slept in our bed (in our bus) last night. While I don’t have a problem with the floor, I don’t think our school bus is the best place for a little boy to live. He asked to stay with us last night, so at least he feels safe.

Wind is so ready to get on with her life and get her little boy into their own apartment. Roy and I will help her get in touch with Colorado human services and the food bank and such on Monday and in the mean time, it would be really cool if they could stay in a motel room.

These are two really wonderful people that shouldn’t be in this situation.

If you can send anything to her cashapp, it would really help.

After her son woke up, Roy went to work keeping him busy with math, reading, and lots of rough housing.

Later today we’re gonna rearrange the bus a bit so Roy and I have more room on the floor and they can stay with us as long as they want/need to.

All the resource places open tomorrow, so Roy is taking the day off to make sure Wind can get around as much as she needs to.

We’re working on a wishlist for his school supplies and clothes. They’ve lost most of their things in this move.
