Hi tumblr, this is Tomi, I’ve made several posts about this, but it’s too much and too long and I’m getting tired or reblogging a months-old post.

my S/O and I have had an extremely difficult summer for a myriad of reasons, mostly because we’ve both been struggling to get on our feet because of health reasons. I was unemployed for several months while I took care of my boyfriend, who was suffering from a hernia. Dave has since gotten back on his feet, but after the death of his grandfather he’s had a very hard time. He lives on a state-owned property for people with disabilities and struggles to work to keep a roof over his head and pay for groceries and other expenses. The environment is hostile and unhealthy and he wants to leave ASAP.

I recently started a job, went back to therapy, and I am now looking for a psychiatrist. I also most likely have endometriosis, which already adds to my chronic pain and takes a toll on me both physically and mentally. I also have PTSD, which has hindered my functionality as well, and keeps me from being comfortable and safe in the house I’ve lived in for 16 years. Add a full time job to this, and you can figure out where a great deal of my mental stress comes from.

With the help of people from here as well as generous friends, we’ve been able to get by on the skin of our teeth for quite some time, but now we have an opportunity in which we can thrive and be more independent. We, along with a close friend, might be able to move to this place as soon as the15th of September but we still need about 1400 for our deposit. I’ve put up my own savings in order to pay for this as well.

I sign the lease on Tuesday and move in on October 1st!! WOW BABEY

I am like 300 dollars from being fully saved up for the down payment! We did it yall! I also am requesting help to get to and from work since I’m going to be pretty much broke after I put the deposit down. Also I’m gonna be packing and moving quite a lot of things and we’re still looking for decent furniture! I have a bed so that will be taken care of, but we need chairs, drawers, etc. as well as everyday household items! please help if you can!!
