A reminder that people are allowed to set whatever individual boundaries they want in terms of who they do and do not want interacting with them, their blog, and their posts.

I don’t care about your, “but x-group isn’t as harmful as other groups they don’t want interacting with them!” or, “but you should engage with people who have different opinions with you!”

People can set their individual boundaries wherever they want for whatever reason they want. No one is obliged to interact with you, your opinions, or things they find in any way unpleasant – be that mildly so, extremely so to the point of triggering, or anywhere in between.

And the fact that people are saying that it’s bad that people are setting these individual boundaries (that happen to exclude them from interacting with those people) reeks of entitlement and shows a very troubling disrespect for others.

I saw this right after answering an ask on this topic- the timing could not have been better!
