You realize you can still say and do transphobic and homophobic things WHILE being a member of the community right? Like, you’re not exempt just by being a member of the community? And you realize that doesn’t grant you a free pass right?

Saying “A straight person has done more than any gay person who disagrees with me” is homophobic and biphobic, erasure of gay and bi peoples contributions, and not a joke. Saying “A cis person has done more than any trans person who disagrees with me” is transphobic, erasure of trans peoples contributions, and not a joke.

Now, considering I, an nb lesbian, was called a homophobe for saying “exclusionists exclude people” and you were called one for making an actually bigoted “joke” I’d maybe think hard about which side is the one flinging false accusations of homophobia here. Just a thought.
