Everytime I hear a Hurricane warning, my mind goes back to the 3 months of eating can food, drinking warm orange juice because there wasn’t ice to be found, walking up to mosquito bites and literally living almost half naked because there wasn’t any electricity and therefore there wasn’t any way to turn on a fan. Hurricanes aren’t joke, please be careful. As a Puerto rican who survived Maria, I wouldn’t want anyone to suffer what we suffered here. Please take the necessary cautions. Go to the shelters if your house won’t withstand a huricane. Stock up on food, water, batteries and flashlights. A radio becames your best friend during a hurricane, mine was my only source of entertainment for months till I got electricity. I will be here anyone who lives in those areas. You want to ask me about how to survive it? You can. How to spend the time without electricity? I have 4 months without electricity under my belt to help. How to not loose your mind when it happens? I got you. Don’t hesitate to ask me for anything. Just please stay safe.
