So, shit hit the fan hardcore and my roommate and I are now homeless. There was a flash flood the day before we were slated to move in (Fri Aug. 31 2018), and our apartment was destroyed and no longer exists. The rental company has cut ties with us and will no longer take our phone calls. They haven’t yet returned our money. Also I still have to pay the final bills for all the utilities in my old place, as well as first month’s rent when we finally find a place.
We’re two queer, trans, disabled, autistic people, one white the other a Muslim of color, one without a job and we have three cats. We’re currently couch surfing with friends and keeping our stuff in storage. The cats are with another friend and not with either of us.
