Please Help Me Keep A Roof Over My Nephew’s Head
Long story short: My sister works a job that requires hard physical labor of her, six days a week, to provide for her and my nephew. Her salary is only just enough to pay her rent and other bills. She tried to get assistance paying for her rent, but was rejected because she is just outside of the poverty guidelines. Her landlord, who is usually more lenient than this, has filed a claim against her for nonpayment of rent. Her monthly rent is $750. Because of fees she has incurred due to nonpayment, she owes $900. If the rent is not paid within ten days she will be evicted. She and my nine-year-old nephew will have nowhere to go. Please help.
