Make the Media and Dallas Police publicly apologize for blaming Mark Hughes for something he didn’t do!
Mark Hughes’ picture was shown as the
suspect in the Dallas shooting, he wasn’t the shooter and instead was
helping the people on the ground.Dallas police tweeted a photo of a “suspect” who immediately became the most wanted man in America.
This man’s name was Mark Hughes and he was not the shooter.
The photo was circulated based on his race, clothing, and the fact he was carrying a (unloaded) rifle.
In fact after the real shooter was killed, his brother told the world:
“My
brother was marching with us, and because he is my brother and I
understood the severity of the situation, my first instinct was to tell
him: ‘Give that gun away.’”Not
only did the police department of Dallas circulate and pass out posters
with his face on them, the media pushed the agenda and ruined both his
reputation, and potential his future. This could have been
resolved and been avoided if they had actually done a little research
and talked with the officers on the scene, did any research, and talked
with the people on the ground instead of making him the poster child for
this terrorist attack. Please sign this petition calling for a
public apology from both the Dallas Police Department and the media
that pushed his photo in front of millions of people.
